"We both floated in Floatation Pods in London and decided we wanted to bring them to Newcastle!" says Lee, co-owner of Sensom. The concept of our studio and spa has grown over many years. Fundamental to offering a holistic experience in health and wellbeing was providing a venue that embodied a feeling of relaxation, peace and stillness offering high quality Floatation Pods, Yoga, Massage and Meditation. After spending two years looking Lee and Andrew had almost given up on finding the right space in Newcastle. But as the saying goes – “…let it go and if it's meant to be, it will happen”; and happen it did! Out of the blue they heard about a former hall in the Newcastle suburb of Lambton and set about its conversion to offering 2 Floatation pods, 2 Yoga studios ( ground floor and mezzanine ) and a meditation space, massage and body therapy rooms. With the addition of the most modern, advanced Floatation Pods available in the market, the studio is a space that is not only beautiful but also delivers a unique experience for you to restore your body, rest your mind and re-connect with your spirit.

Leah was born and raised in the US Virgin Islands. Introduced to yoga at a young age by her grandmother, she has always been fascinated by how our bodies move grow and change. After a Bachelor of Studio Arts degree she began sailing through the Caribbean and the Eastern seaboard of North America. The Ocean was her livelihood. When it was time for a sea change, she came ashore to study the healing arts.
Yoga teacher Training at the Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas, followed by Thai Yoga Massage at the lotus Palm school in Toronto lit the fires of her now life’s passion.
Leah became a nationally certified massage therapist in the US in 2004, and continues to educate herself in the art and science of yoga and massage. Her holistic massage therapy is infused with intelligence, compassion and a nurturing touch. Ayurveda, Thai yoga massage, Swedish massage, as well as Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and guided meditations inform her massage technique.
