YOGA

Yoga is recognised as an ancient system of philosophies, principles and practices that has been practised for more than 2500 years. In Yoga, our breath, body and mind are seen as a union in each and every human being. The practice of yoga helps cultivate internal peace, clarity of mind with a greater sense of self awareness and consciousness, stronger, more flexible and supple bodies that are less prone to injury and illness.

GENERAL HATHA

This is a general hatha class. Suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced if you have a reasonable level of fitness. Hatha yoga includes: Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath) and Dhyana (meditation).

GENERAL SUNDAYS

Suitable for all levels. Start your week feeling revived, refreshed and ready in mind and body. This 90 minute class focuses on gentle flow, breath awareness and guided meditation. You also get plenty of time to really let go in your extended savasana.

OVER 50's YOGA

Join this gentle practice benefiting people over 50. Yoga is an excellent way to stay active, strengthen bones, improve flexibility and lower stress levels.

YIN YOGA

Excellent for increasing flexibility and reducing tightness. Yin Yoga involves variations of seated or supine postures (asanas) which are typically held for 3-5 minutes to allow a deeper release of connective tissue around the joints. Suitable for beginners to advanced.

Get your body back to balance after training with this restore to recovery program. If you're recovering from injury, preparing for competition or need to counter overtraining and/ or loss of performance. This program is by pre-booking only. One to one or as a training group. BEGINNERS YOGA

Are you new to yoga? We specialise in teaching Beginners Yoga one to one and also in groups. If you have a group of friends that would like a beginners course, let us know and we'll tailor a course just for you. Minimum booking of 10 people. You are welcome to attend any of our classes as our teachers are experienced in teaching all levels.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Our restorative yoga class is ideal for those who are recovering from illness or injury, feeling tired or stressed. An easy level class that leaves you feeling calm, centred and relaxed. We provide everything you need like bolsters, blankets, blocks and mats. Just bring yourself.

All Yoga teachers at Sensom have a minimum Level 1 ( 350 hours ) to Senior Level teachers ( 500 + hours )                                We value our teachers' experience and knowledge. Please arrive to all classes on time. We do not keep our doors open after the class commences.
